What is VoIP and Can You Benefit?
So you are looking for VoIP service, but do you really know what that is? Do you really know what you are looking for? VoIP, also known as Voice over IP or Voice over Internet Protocol is not nearly as techie as it sounds, and as you understand it more, you can save a bundle on your telephone bill.
Let me explain VoIP service in layman's terms. With VoIP service, you are making and receiving telephone calls using the Internet. That is really as simple as it is. And you have that today, even without a VoIP service connection, right? So you have the majority of the requirements done already.
Now let's look at your phone bill. You say you don't make very many long distance calls? That's OK, keep reading. For basic telephone service, like just having a dial tone, you are probably paying at least $25 to $30 per month. And that is without making ANY long distance calls.
